Crazy day here; jazzing on the deadline and have to make TWO separate trips to the kids' school for Book Fair, grr, don't ask. Anyway, I had to pop in long enough to tell you about a wonderful author. Did I mention my chronic insomnia? I get a chance to do a LOT of reading at 4 in the morning, and let me tell you that it's the EXACT wrong time to read a book by my friend Karen Rose.
Karen is one of the nicest, most supportive people ON THE PLANET, and yet, bless her dark and twisted little heart, she writes some of the scariest thrillers I've ever read. After I finished COUNT TO TEN, it was DAYS before I could sleep with all the lights out. So if you like your thrillers dark and thrilling, check out Karen's books. But if you can't sleep or have nightmares, don't say I didn't warn you.
back to deadline!
Alyssa

Oh my goodness!! I'm sniffling and smiling at the same time. Thank you, Alyssa, for the kind words and the hours of enjoyment I've gotten from your books. I've laughed and cried and am so proud to know you.
Bwahahahaha on the dark and twisted heart, though. Sometimes the villains scare me too. I want one of those comfort blankies!
I have read EVERY single book Karen Rose has ever written from Don't Tell thru Count to Ten. Loved them all and I think each villian is scarier than the one before.
I have often recommended Karen's books at the store but always offer the warning that 'she writes THE scariest villians I've ever read'!
I recall going to RT in NYC a few years back with my book group. One of the ladies from the group asked Karen something like 'how does your husband sleep with you at night'? Karen's response was 'with one eye open'! LOL Which is how most of us have to sleep after reading these books!
Can't wait to read the next one.
Hugs,
Anne
