Grateful

I'm issuing a blanket apology to the universe for my crabbiness. I have so much to be grateful for - my family, our health, that my husband is home now instead of off in a war zone. My wonderful readers. I think I'm going to start a gratitude journal in one of my lovely, unused notebooks to focus on the positive instead of the negative. What are you grateful for today?
hugs and thanks for putting up with me!!
Alyssa
PS here's my favorite paragraph of the day as I go through edits:

Keely felt a wave of dizziness threatening to topple her from her feet. In the space of an hour, she'd gone from her nice, calm, bland office at Ohio State to a place where crazy people were planning to kill themselves or somebody else, to rescue more crazy people, who were running through a place that couldn't possibly exist, because of a vampire goddess, who couldn't possibly exist.

“Of course, I am standing in Atlantis," she said out loud, staring up at the dome over her head, again. "Either that, or I'm having some sort of psychotic breakdown."

Alyssa - I'm going to respond to both of your latest entries here.

First - Sorry you are sooooo stressed. And I totally agree with the Diet Coke thing and the tailgating. GRRRRRRR...

Second - I think we all need to appreciate our gifts more. Our health, our happiness, the gift of family and friends. The fact that we have a roof over our head and full tummies. The fact that we don't live in a war zone. (Glad your husband is back safe and sound). There are sooooo many things we take for granted. We all do it. It is so much easier to focus on the things we wish we had than to focus on what we have. Thanks for reminding me to be thankful today.

Stacy

P.S. Do I need to send you more chocolate and diet cokes? LOL

Oh.. Alyssa. I do hope things calm down and I'm glad your dh is back home again. So much easier being a two parent family and not having to worry about how he is doing, eh?

Things I'm grateful for.. on the top of my list are my family and friends. We've learned the value of asking for help over the past few years. I don't know what we would have done without friends being surrogate family for the kidlets when we were in Australia.

I'm also grateful for the wonderful writers who are willing to share their characters with us. So many hours of enjoyment.

Sending chocolate thoughts. :) Ever had Tim Tams?

Oh Alyssa! Im glad your hubby is home safe and sound...
I honestly believe that we need to be more grateful for the little things too.. We always focus on the negative in life, at least i find myself doing it.
I am grateful today that i can read something like your blog that makes me think twice about everything i have that other people might not.
So thank you!

And i love the paragraph too by the way ;)

Thank you all!! it's amazing how much better I feel for deciding to send gratitude out into the universe, rather than crabbiness. LOL.
